- Control of the length, continuity and quality of piles,
- Search for voids behind tunnel linings,
- Assessment of the state of contact of the foundation slab with the soil,
- Attribute analysis of seismic records,
- The program is included in the Register of Russian Software.
GeoTechControl is designed to process and interpret data obtained by the seismo-acoustic method of surveying building structures.
GeoTechControl performs the following tasks:
- Processes data obtained by Sonic Integrity Testing to solve geotechnical problems:
- Pile length determination,
- Pile continuity determination.
- Performs dynamic attribute analysis of seismograms:
- To search for weakened piles with reduced concrete strength,
- To assess the state of contact of the pile with the ground,
- To asses the state of contact of the foundation slab with the soil,
- To search for voids behind tunnel linings.
- Solves other geotechnical problems related to the processing of seismo-acoustic data.
Impact Method (Pile/Sonic Integrity Testing) is a method of non-destructive testing of the foundation integrity due to the propagation of acoustic waves. During research, a shock wave is created, which propagates in a concrete structure. Then, the recorder receives the environment response signal.
Further processing procedure provides for several options:
- Time Domain Data Processing (Pulse-Echo or Sonic-Echo Method)
- Frequency Domain Processing (The Transient Response of Impulse Response)
GeoTechControl implements a simple way to enter data obtained from any devices that record data in the SGY format (IDS-1, IDS-2, Sigma-4, etc.), and link photographic test information. Automatic and manual collection of seismograms for further processing by the following procedures is also implemented:
- DC Removal,
- Automatic and manual input of static correction,
- Rejection of noisy seismic traces,
- Amplitude correction,
- Smoothing in a sliding 2D window,
- Attribute analysis (mapping attributes of the Impact Method),
- Picking the first entries.
At the stage of interpreting the processed data, the program implements two calculation algorithms:
- Pile depth calculation based on seismic wave interval velocity,
- Seismic wave velocity calculation from the depth of the pile boundary.
GeoTechControl offers a tool that allows processing areal data and build attribute maps calculated from the spectrum of recorded signals when working with the Impact Method on flat surfaces of foundations, tunnels and other building structures. The analysis includes the calculation of the following attributes:
- Normalised spectrum square,
- Normalised signal energy,
- Average-weighted frequency of the spectrum,
- Normalised square to frequency ratio.
Upon completion of all data processing and interpretation procedures, the program allows quick generation of a graphical report.
